The Department of National Defense and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (Phil) Inc. support PROJECT SMILE in helping find kinds with cleft lips/palates to avail of the FREE surgery that Smile Train offers. DND and FICCI commit to help in echoing information about Smile Train and referring patients to the charity’s partner hospital across the country. They continue to reach out to business leaders and policy makers within the network in order to reach more individuals in need of immediate cleft surgery and comprehensive cleft care in remote regions across the Philippines.
Project Smile is an initiative to help children who are born with cleft lips/palates to have better chances of being properly informed about Smile Train’s local cleft programs and the care and services which are available to them FREE of charge. Many families are unaware that there are free surgeries for cleft lips/palates which could change their lives forever, away from shame and isolation.
