FICCI partners with the Asian Institute of Management Ramon V. Del Rosario SR., Center for Corporate Responsibility, for the prestigious Asian Forum on Enterprise for Society (AFES) 2023. As a longstanding and influential platform, AFES fosters discussions on Corporate Responsibility’s essence and best practices, addressing the evolving role of businesses in shaping a sustainable future.
Conceived by the Asian Institute of Management Ramon V. Del Rosario, Sr. Center for Corporate Responsibility (AIM RVR Center), AFES has established itself as a pioneering research center in Asia, dedicated to corporate responsibility issues. Originally known as the Asian Forum on Corporate Social Responsibility, this initiative was launched in 2002. Over the years, AFES has convened in several Asian cities, including Manila, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Bali, Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore, and Nay Pyi Taw. In 2021, AFES embraced a virtual format, transcending borders and extending its discussions beyond CSR to encompass social innovation, corporate governance, and resilience amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
With a rich history spanning more than two decades, AFES returns as a two-day conference, gathering prominent industry leaders, civil society representatives, and government officials. The event offers a platform for robust discussions, reflecting on the role of businesses in a post-pandemic world and their potential as agents of both resilience and inclusivity within Asian societies. AFES 2023, themed “Boosting Innovation and Inclusion Together,” is scheduled for September 26-27 at the Conrad Hotel in Pasay City, Philippines.
FICCI’s collaboration with AFES 2023 is grounded in shared goals. This partnership resonates with FICCI’s commitment to fostering inclusive growth and addressing poverty challenges, emphasizing the role of businesses in establishing sustainable communities.
