FICCI x ICTSI Industry Engagement and Exclusive Access to MICT Port
FICCI Philippines, in collaboration with the International Container Terminal Services, Inc. (ICTSI), held an exclusive session on the Philippines’ port operations and logistics landscape last April 20, 2026, at the ICTSI Administration Building, MICT Port.
Mr. Christian Lozano, Chief Executive Officer of MICT, welcomed participants to the program. Mr. Emmanuel (Manny) Papagiannakis, Senior Director, Head of Commercial Philippines Cluster of ICTSI, highlighted MICT as the country’s largest and most advanced container terminal, handling 71% of Manila’s market share, while continuously improving efficiency through innovation. Atty. Felipe Geoffrey De Vera IV, BOC District Collector of Bureau of Customs – Manila International Container Port (BOC-MICP), emphasized the importance of stakeholder coordination in reducing delays and enhancing trade facilitation and border protection.
Ms. Erika Ambrosio, Director – Head of PH Customer Experience of ICTSI, and Mr. Florante Ayawon Jr., Business Development Manager – Multimodal Logistics Solutions of ICTSI, shared insights on ICTSI’s integrated logistics strategy, customer experience, and multimodal solutions that support cargo movement across the supply chain.
Dr. Romeo Lloyd So, Chief of Liquidation and Billing Division of Bureau of Customs – Manila International Container Port, discussed improving overall efficiency in trade processes to maximize profits while minimizing costs, while Mr. Erwin Yabut, Country Manager of Catalyst Logistics Inc., shared perspectives on strategic trade enablement for FICCI and strengthening India–Philippines trade through logistics partnerships.
The program concluded with an exclusive MICT Port Tour, where attendees observed real-time port operations and gained a clearer understanding of the scale, efficiency, and coordination required to move cargo through one of the country’s key trade gateways.
