The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce (Phil.) Inc. (FICCI) successfully hosted the ASEAN-India Business Forum 2026 on 23 September 2026 at the Dusit Thani Manila, Makati City. Guided by the theme “Strengthening Economic Cooperation Across Trade, Investment and Regional Integration,” the forum brought together government officials, diplomats, business leaders, and industry leaders to advance regional economic integration and strengthen India-Philippines ties.
The event opened with high-level remarks highlighting ASEAN Centrality and the growing economic bridge between India and the Philippines, with insights from FICCI Philippines, FICCI India, the ASEAN-India Business Council, ASEAN-BAC, India’s Ministry of Commerce & Industry, and the Embassy of India.
A major highlight was the launch of FICCI Philippines Partnership Day, to be celebrated annually every November 16 in recognition of the enduring Philippines-India partnership. Discussions then focused on trade facilitation and investment, with special addresses from the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) and HSBC on mobilizing capital, expanding trade finance, and making the Philippines more accessible to investors.
Panel sessions explored key areas of regional growth, including MSMEs, agriculture and food security, pharmaceutical manufacturing, aviation and tourism connectivity, and digital economies driven by AI and cybersecurity. The forum also featured the introduction of the Victoria Industrial Park in Tarlac.
The forum concluded with closing statements reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing ASEAN-India economic cooperation, followed by a networking cocktail. FICCI Philippines extends its sincere appreciation to its co-organizers, the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (ASEAN-BAC), the ASEAN-India Business Council (AIBC), and the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI India) for their support in making AIBF 2026 possible.
We also warmly thank our Event Partners, the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc.; Philippine Chamber of Commerce & Industry; Filipino Indian Commerce & Welfare Society Inc.; India Business Forum Philippines Association, Inc. (IBF); and Indian Women in Enterprise, Philippines (IWE) for their valuable partnership and support.
